The 2007-2008 VARSITY BASKETBALL SEASON IS WELL UNDERWAY

Our varsity boy’s team finished a challenging pre-season tournament schedule with a 7-7 record. The hard work and stiff competition seems to have paid off as they are sitting on top of the Central Valley Christian League (CVCL) with just four games remaining. The Falcons are heading into a busy week concluding the regular season against the Sacramento Waldorf Waves on Friday, February the 8th. This last game of the season is also our winter Homecoming game. Four games will be on the schedule for the evening starting with our J.V. girls team set to tip off at 3:30 p.m., the J.V. boys will play at 5:00, the varsity girls will follow at 6:30, and the boy’s varsity game will begin at approximately 8:00 p.m. The crowning of the 2008 Homecoming court will take place immediately following the boy’s game.

Our varsity girl’s team is currently enjoying a share of first place in the CVCL with Vacaville Christian. They too have just four games remaining in their competitive campaign. Both varsity teams are characterized by good defense, a fast paced exciting style of basketball that produces balanced scoring.

If you have not had the opportunity to see a Falcon team this year we invite you to attend our annual Homecoming event on Friday, February the 8th. Come early as parking is limited and many options are available for in house dinning including a full service snack bar or a traditional Italian dinner. If we continue to have wet weather those arriving late may need to park at our Combie campus and enjoy a free shuttle to the main campus by one of our busses.
