FLCS Chamber Choir Performance
Members of Forest Lake Christian School’s Chamber Choir and Women’s Choir “Bella Voce” participated in the Association of Christian School’s Musicale on March 6th and 7th. The event was held at Capital Christian Center in Sacramento.
The students had an opportunity to perform in small or large ensembles, as soloists and together as a choir before college music professors in order to be adjudicated. Those with the highest scores were awarded a “Command Performance” during the final evening’s presentation. All of the students from the twelve schools in attendance worked together under the direction of Dr. James Melton. The mass choir, 400 voices strong, sounded amazing.
Students from Forest Lake who were awarded a Command Performance were Teddy Medlyn, Ali Robinson and Corbin Phillips, and the quartet comprised of Paige and Shelby Miller, Courtney DeRenne and Amanda Sparling. Also, highlighted during the mass choir by being awarded a solo part in a song were Regan McLane and Robbie Ring.
