Forest Lake Christian Cross Country Takes Team Titles in all Races at Central Valley Christian League Championship.  Violette, Weisman, and Bagley also Take Individual Titles

October 22, 2008, Auburn, CA – The Forest Lake Christian flew away with Team Titles in the Varsity Men’s and Women’s races, as well as Men’s Jr. Varsity race at the Central Valley League Championship on their new home course, located at Regional Park in Auburn.

Austin Violette won the Varsity Men’s 5K Race in 18 minutes, 32 seconds, outdistancing Kevin Tobin of Foresthill by 40 seconds and helping soar the Forest Lake Christian team to victory.  The Falcons scored 25 points for the win, followed by Victory Christian in 2nd with 43 points and Foresthill in 3rd with 60 points.

Jake Miner of Victory Christian finished 3rd in 19:43, and then the Falcons swept 4th through 6 with strong performances from Ashton Santee, DJ Unruh, and Billy…

Congratulations 2008 Fall Homecoming King and Queen

The Administration, Faculty and Staff of Forest Lake Christian School are honored to be represented by this year’s Fall Homecoming King and Queen. It is our goal not only to consider outward beauty in this Homecoming Court, but to look within each young person to find the inner beauty of Christ.  The Homecoming Court has been elected by their peers with the hope that these qualities shine through.

Ali Robinson, Forest Lake Christian School’s Fall 2007 Homecoming Queen, crowned this years King and Queen, Evan Ziegenmeyer and Jazzy Grammer.

Jazzy is the daughter of Tom and Vicki Grammer.  She was escorted tonight by her father, Mr. Tom Grammer.  This is the second year that Jazzy has attended Forest Lake Christian School and she is the Senior Class Representative on Student Council this year.  Jazzy has also been involved in student leadership at church and attends small group and youth group activities.  Her…

6th Grade Trip to Sacramento Science Center

Led by teacher Mrs. DeGraaf, Combie campus sixth graders created comets in preparation for their study trip to the Sacramento Science Center. Once there, students participated in a hands-on space simulation program to locate Halley’s Comet.

Forest Lake fights off Delta

Jen Menary served 23 consecutive points in a dominant second game and finished the match with eight aces and 19 assists, leading the Forest Lake Christian volleyball team past Delta in a four-game Central Valley Christian League battle Thursday.

The Falcons beat the Saints 25-23, 25-4, 15-25, 25-13.

Caitlin Hanson had 10 kills for Forest Lake (11-8, 3-4 CVCL), while Tasha Haddad had seven and Tessa Gavia and Morghan Pomeroy finished with five apiece.

It’s a Jungle Out There!

Kate Hoge and Molly Miller, activities directors, and the High School Student Council, planned an amazing event called “It’s a Jungle Out There” for the 2008 Fall Homecoming Banquet. The students were quite surprised at the transformation of the gym as evidenced by their positive comments. It truly felt as if they were transported to the jungle. The students were treated to musical entertainment by their peers Eric Smith, Jordan Farewell, Dawson Young, Billy Corbin, Cameron Beste and Austin Rosene. The group performed an arrangement of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” and Eric sang “The Circle of Life”.

A special appearance was made by a friendly gorilla who made his rounds to every table and was gracious to pose for photos. He was quick to find the exit when “Wild Things” arrived and brought in their 15 foot python, spider monkey, hissing cockroaches from Madagascar, a lemur porcupine, a baby alligator and…
