Apprentice Day Results
Apprentice Day 2009 was a wonderful success. The overall winner of the event was the team “Got Caffeine?” which raised an astonishing $1,000 through their sales of energy drinks, frappuccinos, and iPod Touch raffle tickets. All of the seniors did a fantastic job of putting together their different “restaurants” and selling their wares to the hungry students, parents, and faculty. It was an effective, hands-on way of teaching the seniors important economic principles. Not only was it a fun educational experience, but it was also a lucrative one. All the profits earned from this project were pooled together and the earnings totaled $3,675.88! A small portion of this money will be used to help pay for the travel expenses of this year’s Spiritual Emphasis Week speaker. The majority of the profit will be donated to various families from Forest Lake that are in need. One of the great motivators for the seniors in this project was the knowledge that their hard work was going to help support their school community. Congratulations, seniors, on a job well done!
