Choir Trip Fast-Approaching

Forest Lake’s Chamber and Men’s Chamber Choirs are currently perfecting their competition pieces for their fast-approaching choir trip. Both choirs will be leaving on Friday, April 24th for Santa Clara, California to participate in the Music in the Parks Choir Competition. The choirs will arrive in Santa Clara Friday afternoon and will travel to the competition site where they will perform several songs for the competition adjudicators. The choirs will be performing not only to earn a rating, but will also be competing against several other choirs from their division in hopes of placing in the top three. Both the Chamber and Men’s Chamber have worked hard on their pieces and have high hopes for the competition. The awards ceremony for Music in the Parks will be held Saturday night at the special events area at Great America. The choirs will be able to spend the whole day prior to ceremony in the amusement park exploring the attractions and enjoying the company of their fellow students. The choirs will leave Santa Clara Sunday morning, stopping in San Francisco for lunch and some sight-seeing. They will arrive back in Auburn Sunday night. It should be an exciting trip!
