Personal Invitation to Parent Ed Night!
Dear Friends:
I am writing to personally invite you to our next Parent Education Evening. On Thursday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school multi-purpose room we will continue examining our Biblical Christian Worldview and how it relates to current culture. I have been personally blessed and inspired by the wonderful response from our school community over the years. We have spent nine years together forging more efficient partnerships, maturing our Biblical Worldview, and exploring ways to most effectively grow our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord to best prepare them for Kingdom work, as we recognize the Day of the Lord is at hand.
As you know, we study different (albeit) related topics each year. In October, we begin our tenth season of Parent Education by addressing the issue of competing worldviews and how they affect the process of mentoring the emerging generation (the newest label applied to today’s youth). We will study the seven most common worldviews and then discuss why a Biblical Worldview is the only one of the seven that can effectively be used to shape the next generation to impact the world for Christ. Truth be told, the other six worldviews do nothing to intentionally mentor the next generation for any greater good.
As is our custom, we will be very practical, providing scriptural support and hands on applications. Lots of resources will be discussed and provided. I look forward to seeing you on Thursday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m. Instead of dinner, a tempting selection of fine desserts will be offered. Remember to bring a friend and also your children as child care is available.
In His Service,
Mr. David Wickstrom
High School Principal
